Historically black colleges and universities have been pivotal to
the black community. They have educated many teachers, doctors,
engineers, lawyers, etc. They were a safe place for black people when
other institutions wouldn't allow them to receive an education. They,
now and forever, will be valued and considered home. Being a HBCU
graduate is a gift and honor!
